Fairplay for men in Wales

S t a t i s t i c s

Yes, we've all heard it haven't we: "There are lies, downright lies and statistics". It seems that stats do not enjoy a good press.

Of course much depends on the origin of the statistics, how complete they are and whether any spin - omissions and exaggerations, have been put on them.

For example, I expect most people reading this have heard, ad nauseam, the statistic, much loved by BBC news editors and repeated endlessly by the feminist propaganda machine: "1 in 4 women experiences domestic violence in her lifetime."This statistic comes from a British Crime Survey and, presumably, is true. But in that same survey it also says that 1 in 6 men experiences domestic violence in his lifetime. I don't suppose you've heard that statistic very often have you? Spin! An omission!Another consideration here is that, as women live six years longer than men they have more time in which to experience their domestic violence.

A much more reliable source of information about domestic violence is the British Home Office Report 191. It was the biggest survey on DV anywhere in the world in which over 10,000 men and women were questioned, and it gave the statistic that:

4.2% of men and 4.2% of women said they had suffered domestic violence

I don't suppose you've heard that figure on a BBC news broadcast have you?

Have you heard that half the children in Britian are below average in reading ability? It's true. Average is half way down, so it would also be true to say that half the children in Britain are above average in reading ability. Spin again.

In this connection, let's just have another look at domestic violence. Feminists have not only tried to re-write history, they have also become adept at re-defining all sorts of terms and words. The term "domestic violence" means to most people someone being physically attacked in their home by someone they live with. Not so with feminists; to them domestic violence also means being shouted at, not given enough money, having the way you dress criticised etc.

So, let's accept their new definition. If we take another look at the 1 in 4 figure above, we can say with equal truth that:

Three quarters of the women in Britain have never in their lifetime been attacked by their husbands, never been criticised or shouted at and have never been kept short of money.

My! how positively saintly British men must be.

As ManKind Wales is interested in TRUTH and JUSTICE we offer on this page only those statistics which come from a reliable source. We offer them as completely as space allows and without spin. We assume that anyone reading this is capable of making up his own mind what these statistics mean. If you find that any stats published on this site are not accurate, please write in and tell us so that we may correct them.
